This picturesque city features wide avenues traversed by small riverbeds and irrigation canals, five main legendary squares and several bars and coffee shops found alongside the wide pavements, shadowed by a variety of trees. Mendoza is also a culturally rich city that has the best wines and ski resorts. It is one of the most chosen tourist destinations because of the various interesting activities available in the region. Extreme sports such as rafting, climbing or kayaking are very popular.
In Mendoza there are many places to visit. Some of the them include a city tour along the area where the Foundation of the city took place, museums and the Escorihuela Winery. Other must see places are: San Martin Park, located at the foot of the Andes and famous for its indigenous horticulture, zoo and national science museum; and Laguna del Diamante, a mirror of bluish waters showing a magnificent reflection of the Maipu volcano. On the route to theAndes you shouldn't miss Puente del Inca, a natural formation over the Cuevas River where it is possible to bathe in ancient thermal baths.

Historical Center: It is grounded by the Plaza Pedro del Castillo, where the Museo Fundacional sits on the site of the old cabildo. The San Francisco Ruins (Ruinas de San Francisco) are what's left of the seventeenth century church and school built and maintained by the Jesuits. |
Plaza España: Considered one of the most beautiful in Mendoza, it invites you for a quiet stroll or a rest on the benches to enjoy the gardens and the fountains. On weekends an Artisan's Fair offers local handcrafts. |
|
Nightlife: Mendoza's many restaurants and bars offer a selection of regional and international cuisine. The bars, pubs, restaurants and discos are centrally located on Calle Aristides or Calle Sarmiento and in Chacras de Coria, the best place to enjoy dark to dawn clubbing. |
Wine Route: Include a visit to the Wine Museum to your tours of some of Mendoza's wineries, including Santa Ana vineyards and cellars, Escorihuela and López cellars, Maipu and many others. |
Transport

About Argentina
COINED programs offered in ArgentinaSpanish Courses Argentina Facts- Eighth largest country in the world. - Great diversity of landscapes, culture & traditions. - Travel options for all budgets. - Argentines' hospitality help you learn Spanish easy and fast. - Well known for the high level of education of its people. |

Argentina borders Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay, and it is the eighth largest country in the world, second only to Brazil in terms of size and population in South America. The population mix of Argentina is very different from the rest of Latin America as it is mostly European. However, you can still experience "traditional life" in the northern provinces of Salta and Jujuy. These provinces resemble the Andean nations of Bolivia and Peru and differ culturally from those of the Pampas. Archaeological sites, volcanoes, small Indian villages, and nature reserves can be found in this area.

Argentina is a country of European traditions that loves modernity and diversity. You will get a guaranteed immersion in its culture helped by its chatty, resourceful and kind people. On top of that, Argentina has every natural beauty you can think of: the mighty Andes, the wide Río de la Plata and the famous Iguaçu Falls. Magnificence on each end like the southern glaciers and the northern “Calchaquíes” Valleys going through the pampas in the center!
Now is a great time to visit, so get your spirit in gear and prepare for an unforgettable adventure!

You will take a placement test on your first day to establish the Spanish course level you will attend to. You may change levels depending on your learning skills.
2. What happens if there is not a course available for my level?
If there isn’t a Spanish course according to your level, a course will be opened for you specially and you will have individual lessons until other students with the same level of Spanish arrive. The price of these individual lessons will keep the same as the group ones.
3. Can I take my lessons in different destinations?
You can take your Spanish lessons in different places in various countries in Latin America. It is possible to combine destinations in any of our schools in Latin America or Spain without extra charge. You will find the same teaching method in all our Spanish schools.
4. Will I get a certificate after finishing the program?
Yes, you will get a certificate that specifies the level of Spanish achieved and the amount of hours you have taken. You will get also a progress report which includes the skills developed during your course and a recommendation letter from your teacher.
5. Will I receive university credits?
You can receive university credits for attending to our schools but you should first visit your school’s language department in order to know the specific requirements. Common requests from universities are: course syllabus, talking to other teachers who know the program, classroom hours, course levels, academic policies, receiving progress reports from your teachers while abroad and giving you a test upon your return. We will help you gather all the necessary paperwork and you may schedule an interview with your academic advisor if needed.
6. How am I going to develop my Spanish skills?
Our methods combine both theory and practice, addressing all of the linguistic and functional pragmatic aspects of the spoken language, along with key socio-cultural information essential for you to gain proficiency and in order to achieve your goals. Grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary are always integrated in order to approximate you to an authentic communicative environment.
You will begin with practical situations. Grammar lessons will be introduced gradually during the process. Lessons' topics and contents are related to daily life’s situations.
7. How many levels are there?
COINED offers 3 different levels following the requisites and guidelines from the Common European Framework of Reference. Each level is divided into 2 sublevels varying from lesser to greater linguistic capability: Basic (A), Intermediate (B), Advanced (C).

It depends on the level you already have, the one you want to reach and the kind of program you are taking. If you are a beginner, it takes approximately 40 to 60 group lessons per week to get you into the next level. But if you don’t have enough time you can reduce the time at half by achieving the same level with private lessons. For further information please contact us. We will be happy to help.
