About DELE Diplomas
The Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) are the official Spanish language diploma, internationally recognised with undefined validity, granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education.
There are different levels of the diploma, that match the ones from the Common European Framework of Reference on which we base our syllabus.
|
The DELE diploma A.1 certifies that its holder is able to manage in simple everyday situations and relative to areas of immediate need. |
The DELE diploma B.1 certifies sufficient linguistic competence to understand and act successfully in common everyday situations and to express any basic needs. |
The DELE diploma level C.1 certifies that the holder is able to express himself clearly and is not obliged to reduce expression of ideas s/he wants to put into words. The diploma accredits that its holder has a wide repertoire of lexical expressions. S/he is able to put into practise tasks which include decision making and use a complex, higher, sophisticated, urban language. |
|
The DELE diploma A.2 certifies that its holder is able to understand sentences and expressions of daily and frequent use in basic situations (information concerning the own situation, family, shopping, profession...). |
The DELE diploma level B.2 certifies the linguistic competence necessary to engage in conversational situations of everyday life which do not require a specialised use of the language (e.g. technical terms). |
This DELE diploma level C.2 certifies the linguistic competence necessary to engage in conversational situations which require a very high linguistic standard including more specific terms and a knowledge of cultural and communicative-pragmatic aspects of Spanish. |
